Internship responsibilities
Internships are unique to the person, but there are core responsibilities in each. Interns are expected to have a baseline of knowledge and skills in their field as well as some experience. While interning provides great experience…experience doesn’t pay the bills. That’s why all internships are paid! We will work with you to set hours, expectations, deadlines, and learning opportunities. We also believe in tossing you into the deep end to see how well you can swim — being a self-starter who can take the lead on a project is a must.

Federally qualified health centers (FQHC) strive to help meet the needs of an underserved area or population. We, in turn, serve FQHC organizations that are in need of high-quality marketing services to do the amazing work our communities so desperately need.

We do a lot of strategic marketing planning, graphic design, motion graphics, video production, and social media management. We’re typically looking for people that can help us meet those needs for our clients.
Social Media Management
Are you someone who is interested in helping to manage social media content for brands? We’re looking for you! Managing social media is so much more than creating pretty content, it is about creating content with a goal. We’re seeking social media marketers with a passion for driving engagement through content development and management.
Design & Production
Do you have an interest in graphic design, video content production, or motion graphics? We want to meet you! We produce a LOT of content for digital platforms, video, print, billboards, radio, and more. Working with someone else’s brand requires studying their brand guidelines, honoring their values, and creating exciting new things that push the boundaries within their own structure.
General Marketing
Within the world of marketing, there are so many roles: Strategic-thinking, client services, project management, data management, creative management, and much more. If you are someone who seeks to find structure and order in things, we’re seeking you. Marketing moves fast, and we want you to help us stay nimble and pivot as needed.
Leadership with integrity
Ryan W. Gates has served as the Sr. Director of Marketing for a national retail business, been both a franchisee and a franchisor, owned small businesses, overseen international product launches, and served in various roles of the non-profit sector. He has a BA from Sarah Lawrence College with a focus in production, writing, and psychology as well as an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology with specializations in management, leadership, entrepreneurship and advanced strategy.
